Key Targets

  • Reduce income inequality by raising the incomes of the poorest populations at a faster rate than national averages.
  • Promote social, economic, and political inclusion for all people.
  • Eliminate discriminatory laws, policies, and practices.
  • Ensure equal opportunity and reduce inequalities in outcomes.
  • Improve fiscal, wage, and social protection policies that reduce inequality.
  • Facilitate safe, regular, and responsible migration and mobility.
  • Strengthen representation of developing countries in global financial and economic institutions.
  • Ensure that official development assistance and financial flows support the needs of developing countries.
  • Encourage responsible investment and reduce costs for migrant remittances.

Global Progress

Progress on SDG 10 is limited. Income and opportunity gaps persist, especially for marginalized groups. Many countries expanded social protection, but global financial systems still favor wealthier nations. Better inclusion policies and fairer economic structures are needed to reduce inequality.
