Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all
Guided by its 3Rs framework – Recruit, Retain, Reward – CEN attracts talented students, supports them throughout their studies, and equips them for leadership.
Hence, AUS has achieved global and national recognition. It is among the top 18% of universities worldwide and among the top five in the UAE for engineering, with several programs in the global top 300 to 450 (QS, 2025–26).
CEN’s 25 undergraduate, master’s, and PhD programs integrate AI, machine learning, sustainability, and digital construction, attracting top students from across the UAE. Its undergraduate community brings together students admitted with strong academic records – over 98% have high school averages of 90% or higher – in a vibrant, innovative environment. Even before joining, high school students explore opportunities in engineering through the college’s Discover Engineering initiatives – Engineering Shadow Program, camps, and competitions. With merit-based scholarships and outreach programs, CEN cultivates a diverse student body ready to innovate.

CEN supports students at every stage to thrive academically, professionally, and personally. Its CEN 2.0 revamped curriculum integrates hands-on learning through senior design projects, research opportunities, and state-of-the-art labs. First-year programs provide guidance, while clubs, honor societies (including the first international chapter of Tau Beta Pi), study tours, and competitions promote global exposure. Initiatives such as the CEN Innovation Program, Open Innovation Day, and Women in Engineering Society support an inclusive learning environment.
Students are mentored by award-winning faculty, some among the world’s top 2% of scientists, developing technical expertise, innovation skills, and leadership abilities.
Career development is a cornerstone of the student experience, supported by the Career Hub, industry-linked internships, and programs such as Engineering Al Nukhba. Digitalized student services streamline administrative and academic processes, enabling students to focus on growth.
CEN’s first General Education Requirement courses – Sustainable Development, and Digital Technology and Citizenship – equip students with responsible practice, advancing commitment to SDG 4.
CEN graduates enjoy high employability rates, with AUS ranking first in the UAE for employer reputation and second for employment outcomes (QS, 2026), enjoying careers as CEOs, entrepreneurs, academics, and government leaders.
Programs such as 1+1 master’s dual degrees and 4+1 accelerated programs with international partners such as the University of Texas at Dallas, the University of Edinburgh, and Queen’s University provide streamlined pathways to advanced degrees, international experience, and professional advancement.

AUS celebrates alumni through the Hall of Fame and Most Engaged Alumni Award, involving them as mentors and industry experts, reflecting a commitment to quality education.
“Our commitment to SDG 4 is embodied in our 3Rs framework. By recruiting talented students and supporting them throughout a rigorous learning journey, we prepare future engineers with the knowledge, skills, and leadership mindset to innovate, drive sustainable solutions, and make a lasting impact worldwide,” says Dr Fadi Aloul, Dean, College of Engineering.
More than 9,000 students from 87 nationalities have graduated from CEN, and 31% of them are women.
