Event Overview
Engineers Canada invites you to join the official kick off to National Engineering Month — a webinar designed to help you inspire the next generation. In this session, you’ll learn how to share your own engineering journey in ways that connect with kids and spark their curiosity about the “E” in STEM. Together we’ll cover: – An introduction from Engineers Canada, highlighting multiple initiatives underway — including Explore Engineering and the Forward Engineering Collective = Insights from subject matter experts on what works when engaging youth – Practical guidance on how to volunteer in classrooms, including outreach tips, checklists, and permissions – How to tell your story in a compelling, age-appropriate way that resonates with diverse students – How to leverage a volunteer program within your organization to get more engineers into classrooms — and the benefits to your organization, including positive community sentiment, exposure for the profession, and even the potential for inspired students to become future employees By the end of the session, we hope that you’ll be better equipped to bring engineering to life for kids, with tools, examples, and a roadmap to get started.
