With nearly 28 years of professional experience in the field of chemical and environmental engineering, Dr. Khadija Qureshi currently serves as Chairperson of the Department of Chemical Engineering at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, Sindh. Recognized as the first woman in Pakistan to receive a PhD in chemical engineering, she has published more than 45 high-quality, peer-reviewed journal articles, received two patents, presented at several international conferences, and received more than 20 scholarly awards. Dr. Qureshi is an expert in the field of water treatment, especially for the removal of toxic metals from drinking water, and has contributed extensively in the region to solve water issues, creating opportunities for the supply of safe drinking water.
