About World Engineering Day

Proclaimed by UNESCO in November 2019 at its 40th General Conference, World Engineering Day is celebrated annually on March 4. Since 2020, WFEO has co-led this global movement with UNESCO, uniting engineers, policymakers, scientists, and innovators to address many of society’s most pressing challenges. This year’s theme, “Shaping Our Sustainable Future Through Engineering”, highlights the critical role of engineering in addressing the UN’s SDGs.

Five people are seated on a stage in a panel discussion, one speaking into a microphone. Dressed in formal attire, they expertly engage in the vibrant exchange of ideas. Broadcast live as a webcast, their conversation offers insights shaping the landscape of 2025.
