The Slovenian Engineers' Day 2025, is organized by The Slovenian Chamber of Engineers since 2020, has become the central professional event of the Slovenian engineering community. Every year, it attracts numerous experts who share their experiences and innovative solutions with us, along with more than 1000 participants.
This year, after four years, we will meet in person again on March 4th 2025, at the Brdo Congress Center, Predoslje near Kranj.
The main theme of the event will be Decarbonize the Built Environment! – a key challenge of our time that requires engineers to create solutions for reducing the impact of construction on the environment and climate.
The construction sector is one of the largest consumers of resources and energy, making its transition to sustainable practices essential. Slovenian Engineers' Day 2025 will offer an opportunity to present new approaches and technical solutions for decarbonizing the built environment, which will shape our future. From planning and design to construction implementation – engineers play a crucial role in creating a built environment that is sustainable, responsible towards the environment and society, and focused on reducing carbon emissions.
We have prepared a rich program targeted at all areas of engineering work – design, implementation, supervision, production, research, and development – in buildings and civil engineering projects.
Decarbonization of the construction sector and ports, sustainable reporting, and the potential of green energies in Slovenia (geothermal, solar, wind, water, hydrogen, nuclear energy, CO2 storage), choosing sustainable construction systems, new waste regulations and how to handle them, construction with secondary and recycled materials and waste, carbon-neutral concrete and optimizing its production, solar power plants, charging stations for electric vehicles, battery storage systems, heat pumps, and smart solutions for their management, speed management on highways, and decarbonization of ports are some of the topics we will focus on in the morning session and two afternoon sessions.
