We launched the AgriFood TechPreneur Club on December 6th to support young people to actively participate in evolving a more sustainable food system. More details about the club can be found here- https://intellidigest.com/news/press-release/intellidigest-launches-the-global-agrifood-techpreneur-club/. The event can be watched here – https://youtu.be/U6mZAZFXv-E
As Engineering is crucial to sustainable development, we are pleased to connect the AgriFood TechPreneur Club selection and winner announcement with Word Engineering Day (WED) for Sustainable Development. We will be announcing a competition for young people all over the world to submit an application to join the AgriFood TechPreneur club. The young people will be requested to create a tech/data solution to address a key food sustainability challenge in their country. One winner will be selected from each country.
We plan to announce the competition on January 10th and close it on February 4th so that we have about 3 weeks until February 25th to review the application and notify the winners before they will be announced on March 4th as we celebrate World Engineering Day (WED) for Sustainable Development – https://intellidigest.com/events/engineering-a-more-sustainable-food-system/.
The selected winners will be provided entrepreneurial and relevant skill training to deliver their proposed project as well as work with International organisations (UNFAO, WFP, UNIDO, WTO), Development banks and local banks to provide them with funding to start and scale their business.
As well as the AgriFood TechPreneur winners announcement, we will host panel sessions with speakers leading tech/data driven AgriFood tech companies across the globe with a focus on highlighting the activities that their companies are delivering or planning to deliver to improve their sustainability.
