para el Desarrollo Sostenible
Un Día Internacional de la UNESCO, celebrado cada 4 de marzo, para resaltar los logros de los ingenieros y la ingeniería en nuestro mundo moderno y mejorar el entendimiento público de cómo la ingeniería y la tecnología son fundamentales para la vida moderna y el desarrollo sostenible.

El logotipo del Día Mundial de la Ingeniería
Los 17 colores de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible de la ONU están incluidos en el logotipo y representan el compromiso con la Agenda 2030 de la ONU. Los colores en el centro de la imagen representan los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible para Agua, Energía, Infraestructura Sostenible e Innovación. Estas son las principales áreas en las que más se necesitan ingenieros. El objetivo de la educación en ingeniería también es central ya que el mundo necesita más ingenieros con las habilidades de ingeniería adecuadas para el desarrollo sostenible.
